Then log the minutes that you read or listen to books starting June 10.

Family Craft: Crane Folding Workshop with MCFTA

Be part of the art this summer as we celebrate the amazing art of origami throughout the community! Majestic Moon Planetarium Presentation
Grades 1-3
Thursday, June 20
1:00 and 3:00 pm in the Library Auditorium

Enjoy a planetarium presentation all about the moon, with stories about the moon, its phases and an opportunity to look at space from the moon itself! Strawbee Outer Space Inventions!
Grades 4-5
Monday, June 24
2:00  – 3:00 pm in the Maker Space

Stimulate imagination and innovation by using Strawbees to create your own Sphere and Outer Space Rover! Straws and Strawbee connectors provided, you bring the creativity! Space Rovers will be displayed for the week and can be picked up beginning July 1. Block Party @ the Library

10:30 am – 12:00 pm in the Story Room

Bring the whole family to the Story Room to create awesome structures using Legos, Keva Planks, and other building toys. Adult supervision required. Some building materials have small parts.

Reach for the Stars: Create your own Planetarium
Grades 1-3

Learn about the stories behind the constellations you see in the night sky and create your own planetarium to take home!  *Registration is required; please call 989-837-3466 to register. Registration will begin June 10.

littleBits! Constellations

2:00 – 3:00 pm in the Maker Space

Join us to create a flashlight using littleBits Electronics Kits. Flashlights will be used to project a constellation on paper to take home! Coding and Engineering Skills will be incorporated in this awesome celestial activity!  *Registration is required; please call 989-837-3466 to register. Registration will begin June 10.

Your little truck lovers will get the chance to climb aboard the City’s heavy duty work vehicles, the big red fire truck, and several sleek police vehicles. How exciting to get up close!

Explore the unknown red planet when you make your own Mars Rover. Use our Lego Robotics Kits to create and program your vehicle.
