Water Flushing Program

Water Distribution's annual spring flushing program began Monday, April 9.

The City of Midland began its annual water main flushing program on Monday, April 9, 2018. Hydrants throughout the city were systematically opened to clean and refresh the city's drinking water distribution system.

Water main flushing began in the southeast section of Midland and proceeded north, remaining east of Jefferson Avenue. Following completion of the east side of Midland, flushing moved to the west of Jefferson. The entire process was completed in approximately 11 weeks.

The City's annual maintenance program helps to ensure a high level of water quality by preventing corrosion and maintaining a proper disinfection residual.

Thank you for your patience during the flushing process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City of Midland Water Distribution office at 989-837-6950 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
