Downtown Midland Parking Study

Downtown Midland is growing and changing - and that’s a good thing! With more events, activities, new businesses, and opportunities to connect downtown, the City of Midland wants to ensure that access to these amenities grows right along with it.

To help manage and improve today’s parking conditions and plan for tomorrow, the Downtown Development Authority has hired parking consulting firm Rich & Associates to conduct a parking study. This study does the following:

  • Observes current parking conditions in Downtown Midland
  • Inventories and assesses existing Downtown parking
  • Collects input from Downtown businesses and stakeholders, including residents
  • Surveys Downtown visitors

Check this page frequently and follow Downtown Midland on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more information and study results as it progresses.

How Can I Get Involved?

Consultants will be soliciting feedback from residents in two ways: via in-person public input sessions and via an online survey.

In-person public input sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday, August 20, 2019
    • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m.
    • Conference Room B of Midland City Hall
      (333 W. Ellsworth Street)

Consultants from Rich & Associates will be on hand to collect public input, share study data and parking information, and talk with visitors. All  drop-in sessions will be an informal discussion with no set agenda or presentation, so individuals are invited to stop by at any time during the scheduled sessions.

In addition to the public input sessions, an online survey about downtown parking availability and improvements is available for residents to submit their feedback. Click the graphic at the top of this page or the button below to access the survey.
