Weekly Yard Waste Collection

Stickers are now required

Midland’s Weekly Yard Waste Collection Program

Yard waste is collected in two ways: in paper compost bags and/or in blue City of Midland yard waste bins. Yard waste is collected for composting on the same day as your weekly household refuse, Monday-Friday, from the first Monday in April to November, depending on weather conditions. All compost bags and City blue yard waste bins will require stickers beginning the first Monday in May until the first Monday of October. Yard waste is not collected in plastic garbage bags.

Place yard waste and refuse side-by-side at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on your collection day and no sooner than 6 p.m. on the day before collection. Yard waste is NOT collected from the street in the spring. A comprehensive list of what is and is not acceptable as yard waste can be found on this page under What is Collected as Yard Waste and What is Not Collected as Yard Waste.

Find out your refuse collection day through our interactive collection schedule by clicking on the calendar on this page or download Recycle Coach. Call or email the Department of Public Services at 837-6900 with any questions.
