March 17, 2017 – Have you ever wondered what you are made of? If you’ve wanted to take an AncestryDNA test but wondered what to do with the results, this is the class for you. Local genealogist Bob Snyder will give an overview of what you can learn from your DNA and how to use the results to research your family. Library staff will help you activate your AncestryDNA test kit and provide an orientation to genealogy resources at the Library.
This event will be held in the Community Room on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is due by March 31. Test kits will be distributed at the program on May 6. Cost is $100, payable at the Library Circulation Desk, and includes the cost of the AncestryDNA test kit. Results typically arrive 6-8 weeks after Ancestry receives your DNA test by mail.
For more information, contact the Library at 989-837-3430 or go to www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/library. The Library is located at 1710 W. St. Andrews Road in Midland.
