[ARCHIVED] Sign Up for Friends of MCTV Shining Stars Talent Show

March 17, 2017 – Do you have a talent you want to share with the community? On Saturday, April 22, the Friends of MCTV will host the 8th Annual Shining Stars Talent Show to be televised on MCTV Cable Channel 191, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and viewable online. Performances will be pre-recorded in MCTV’s studio between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Entrants will be given up to 30 minutes to set up and deliver a 3 to 5 minute performance. We are looking for a variety of skills: singing, dancing, playing an instrument, creating a hand-drawn masterpiece, juggling – it’s up to you!

The viewing public will vote for their favorite Midland Shining Star by e-mail or via Facebook. Whoever gains the most votes will receive fame and glory with an MCTV-189 message board post, Facebook posts, and posting of the winning performance on YouTube. They will also be given an opportunity to perform for a live audience at MCTV's Honors Night in November.

If you have a talent you would like to share with the community, call MCTV to schedule a time for your performance. Time slots are limited, so book your spot now. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, April 20th.

The talent show is open to Midland County residents with proof of ID. All ages are welcome, though parental/guardian consent will be required for those under 18. Performances will need to be approved when scheduling a time slot.

MCTV is located on the lower level of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, 1710 W. St. Andrews Road. For more information about the talent show, call 989-837-3474, e-mail midlandstars@yahoo.com, or visit MCTV on Facebook!
