May 5, 2017 – Significant traffic route changes will be in effect next week on W. Wackerly Street between Sturgeon Avenue and Schade Drive as construction crews begin a resurfacing project. Beginning Monday, May 8, eastbound traffic on W. Wackerly will be detoured via Sturgeon Avenue, Airport Road, and Eastman Avenue. Westbound traffic will not be detoured during the duration of the project, essentially turning W. Wackerly into a one-way street for west bound traffic in that area. When work occurs on the westbound lanes, traffic will be routed onto the eastbound lanes.

Because this is a significant change in driving patterns for this street, motorists should use caution and reduce speeds while navigating through the construction zone.
