[ARCHIVED] New E-CityHall Survey Asks for Input on Potential Road Vacation

May 12, 2017 – A new survey topic now available for public comment on the City of Midland’s public engagement platform is seeking feedback on a potential road vacation request.

The short survey on E-CityHall asks residents to share their thoughts on the potential closure of a portion of S. Saginaw Road between two Dow Chemical manufacturing plants. If approved, less than one mile of S. Saginaw Road between Mark Putnam Road and Salzburg Road would be closed to public traffic and all non-Dow traffic would be rerouted to Waldo Avenue.

Feedback collected through E-CityHall will be shared with Midland City Council, Planning Commission, and Dow Chemical Company executives to make an informed decision should a request be submitted.

To access the survey, residents should visit http://bit.ly/ecityhall or the City’s website at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov and click on the E-CityHall link in the left toolbar. A closing deadline is not currently set and will be updated as the process progresses.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for a free, secure E-CityHall account before completing the survey. Registering for an account allows participants’ feedback to be shown to other survey respondents, alerts the participant when other responses and topics are posted, and provides important demographic information. Registration is not required to participate.

For more information about E-CityHall, contact Katie Guyer with the City of Midland at 989-837-3307.
