July 26, 2017 – A portion of one walking and biking path in downtown Midland will be closed through Saturday afternoon to accommodate sanitary sewer work on the Dig In Midland project.
The paved path along the Tittabawassee River will be closed from Rodd Street to State Street to allow the sanitary sewer system to bypass the Wyman Street pump station while construction crews replace a sanitary sewer main at Gordon and Main Streets. This bypass process requires above-ground piping to temporarily reroute the system to the State Street pump station. Barricades are in place along the trail to indicate the area of the closure.
The trail is expected to reopen for use by the afternoon on Saturday, July 29.
Questions or concerns should be directed to the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 989-837-3500.
