September 18, 2017 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce that Assistant City Engineer Joshua Fredrickson has been promoted to the role of City Engineer effective Monday, September 18.
Josh was hired as the City’s Assistant City Engineer in April 2014 and has since been involved in a variety of projects throughout the community. Prior to coming to Midland, he worked as a roadway designer for the Oregon Department of Transportation. Josh holds bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Forest Engineering from Oregon State University.
“Since Josh has been with the City he has proven himself to be a competent, reliable, and effective team member and has earned the respect of his peers,” said City Manager Brad Kaye. ”I am very confident that Josh will be an excellent City Engineer.”
The announcement comes following the retirement of previous City Engineer Brian McManus on September 15.
