[ARCHIVED] City Announces 2017 Holiday Hours for December

December 8, 2017 – All City of Midland offices will be closed Friday, December 22 and Monday, December 25 in recognition of the Christmas holiday and Monday, January 1, 2018 in recognition of the New Year's holiday.

Residents with Friday, December 22 refuse and Friday Week 3 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Thursday, December 21.  Residents with Monday, December 25 refuse and Monday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, December 26.  Residents with Monday, January 1 refuse and Monday Week 1 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, January 2.  Place items at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.

The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 22.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be open until 5 p.m. on Friday, December 22, but will be closed from Saturday, December 23 to Monday, December 25. The Library will also be closed on Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation service (DART) will be closed Friday, December 22; Sunday, December 24; Monday, December 25; and Monday, January 1. Dial-A-Ride will provide bus service on Saturday, December 23 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, December 31 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Phone service will be available on Saturday, December 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended Sunday, December 24; Monday, December 25; and Monday, January 1.

Midland Civic Arena will be closed Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25.  Go to www.midlandcivicarena.com for a complete public skating schedule.                                   

Midland City Forest will be closed Christmas Day.  Go to www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/cityforest for updates on when the Chalet will be open for toboggan, sled, ski, snowshoe and skate rentals, and for weather conditions relating to other outdoor activities.
