[ARCHIVED] MDBA to Host "Meet Your Merchants" Event March 24

March 9, 2018 - The Midland Downtown Business Association will host Meet Your Merchants on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is time for Show and Tell in Downtown Midland! We’ll show off the fresh feel of Main Street, you’ll meet shop owners, and they’ll tell you about their business. Discover new things about the Downtown community and have fun at the same time. This event is a chance for the community to discover who makes Downtown Midland so unique!

Participating venues include:

  • Ace Hardware - Neighborhood Paint Party! Buy one, get one on Valspar and Ace gallons of paint. Enter our Color of the Year contest and do a kid's Easter-themed craft.
  • Basil Thai Bistro - Cooking demonstrations will be held at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. We can answer any questions you may have about our menu! Come to a cooking demo and receive a discount on your meal.
  • Coyer Candle Co. - Introducing our newest candle collection: Midwest is Best, poured into a Michigan themed glass! New merchandise will be available for purchase and shoppers can visit the Spring Cleaning sale.
  • Crepes Et Amis - Come visit your merchant at Crepes Et Amis and learn how to spin your own crepe the way we do. We will be demonstrating how we turn batter into art on our French crepe makers.
  • Gift of Hope Boutique - See the progression of how our Haitian Metal Art is created.  Spend $24 and receive a free metal art piece valued at $8!
  • Good To Go - New Torch to be unveiled for Meet Your Merchants! Stop in for free soup samples all day.
  • Grape Beginnings Winery - 10% off all non-sale bottles of wine. We will have meat trays for snacks with a cheese fondue for bread dipping. As always, 3 complimentary tastes are available.
  • Heather 'n Holly - Stop in for samples and specials. Enter to win our 2 drawings and check out our sweet spring and Easter treats. Life is sweet!
  • Imagine That! - Wendy will be hand stamping her cute charms and giving them away. Ann will be sharing how she creates her cuddly little hedgehogs.
  • Lil’ Pear Tree - Welcome Spring by creating something bright and fun! Tissue Paper Flowers are an exciting way for all ages to celebrate the season!
  • Little Forks Outfitters - Representatives will be on hand from adventure footwear manufacturer, Chaco. Get a free gift with purchase of Chaco footwear!
  • Michigan Brew Supply - Learn how to homebrew beer, wine, hard cider and mead. Join us for beer, snacks, a live brewing demo and great deals on brewing equipment kits.
  • Mr. Moustache's - $5 screen protectors.
  • Northwood Gallery - Stop and peruse our selection of fine arts available for purchase. 
  • Peel 'n Pare - We now have flavor-infused olive oils, from savory bacon and garlic to fruity lemon and orange! Stop in for sampling and cooking ideas!
  • Pizza Sam's - Get 20% off any dine-in order over $20 on March 24th.
  • Serendipity Road - Come Meet Julia; owner of Serendipity Road, and several of our makers from around Michigan. Hope to meet you at Serendipity Road and until then...Be Awesome!
  • Ways To Wellness - Our staff will be showing off wire wrapping, mala making, and oracle card reading skills to our guests. Come be a part of the wellness.
  • Whichcraft Taproom - Owners Sharon and Richard Caldwell will be providing FREE samples of Michigan made craft beer and wine. Check out what’s been brewing locally.
