[ARCHIVED] Beach Volleyball Serves Up Summertime Fun

March 23, 2018 – Midland Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting beach volleyball team registrations for the 2018 summer season on Monday, March 26.

Midland Parks and Recreation’s beach volleyball leagues will begin on Tuesday, May 29. Leagues are played as an 8-week season plus a single-elimination league tournament. Games will be played at Stratford Woods Park, Sunday through Thursday with games occurring between 6-8:30 p.m. Teams will only play on the night of their choosing. New in 2018, games will be played the week of July 4. For in-depth information on league offerings, visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/beachvolleyball

Registration is first-come, first-serve and leagues will fill. Managers can register their team online at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/beachvolleyball or in person at the Parks and Recreation Office by paying the team fee (there is no longer an individual player fee). Teams not having the minimum number of players by Friday, May 25 may forfeit their first game. Individuals who wish to play but do not have a team can contact the Parks and Recreation Office to be placed on a wait list.

For additional information or assistance, call the Parks and Recreation Office, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 989-837-6930 or email them at recreation@midland-mi.org
