March 23, 2018 – The City of Midland has announced a series of upcoming public input sessions to gather resident feedback about potential updates to Chapter 5 of the City’s Master Plan, which details future land use in the City. The sessions will take place in three key areas of the City where land use plans for future zoning may be updated to reflect changing residential, commercial, and mixed-use market trends in the community.
At the sessions, residents will have the opportunity to review the current maps related to future land use in Midland and provide their thoughts on planning for the future. Members of the City’s Planning and Community Development department will be on-hand to answer questions and provide more information about potential changes and known market trends.
The following public input dates are scheduled:
- Waldo Avenue and Bay City Road corridors
Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Salvation Army, 330 Waldo Ave.
- Midtown
Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Maker’s Room, Ashman Plaza, 711 Ashman Street
- North Jefferson Avenue and Joe Mann/Eastman/US 10 area
Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Midland Evangelical Free Church, 7221 Jefferson Ave.
Each session is open to the public. Residents who are unable to attend the sessions are invited to share their feedback at upcoming Planning Commission meetings on Tuesday, April 24 or Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at City Hall or by contacting the City Planning and Community Development department via mail at 333 W.
