[ARCHIVED] Sign Up for the Midland's Shining Star Talent Show

May 4, 2018 – The MCTV Network and the Friends of MCTV are excited to announce auditions are now open for the 9th annual Midland’s Shining Stars Talent Show. If you have a talent you would like to share with the community, sign up for your shot at fame!

Performers will be given up to 30 minutes to set up and deliver a 3 to 5 minute performance. Due to the Lower Level restoration, this year’s talent show will be recorded in the Community Room of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.

The complete program will be shown on MCTV Channel 191 in the Midland area and will be available to view on the City of Midland’s YouTube channel.

The viewing public will vote for their favorite Midland Shining Star by email or via Facebook. The winner will be recognized with on the MCTV Channel 189 message board and Facebook posts, and the winning performance will be uploaded to YouTube. The winner will also be invited to perform at MCTV's Honors Night program in November.

Call MCTV at 837-3474 to schedule a time for your performance. Time slots are limited, so book your spot now. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, May 10.

The talent show is open to Midland County residents with proof of ID. All ages are welcome, though parental/guardian consent will be required for those under 18. Performances will need to be approved when scheduling a time slot.
