May 11, 2018 - On Monday, May 14, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the far right lane of US-10 BR/Buttles Street from Jerome Street to State Street to begin implementing a planned road diet study.
This lane closure begins a three-year pilot project to improve safety and provide additional space for pedestrian and bicycle traffic in the Buttles St. corridor. Traffic patterns through the reconfiguration will be monitored and a final re-assessment of the project will occur before consideration of a permanent implementation.
The pilot study was approved by Midland City Council in December 2017.
Questions may be directed to the City of Midland Engineering Department at 989-837-3348.
