July 2, 2018 – Spread the word – the Dig In Midland streetscape renovation project is in the running to win the 2018 Michigan Municipal League (MML) Community Excellence Award!
Now through Sunday, July 29, residents can vote for Dig In Midland once per day by visiting http://bit.ly/votemidland. Projects are evaluated by a panel of experts in four categories: online votes, replicability, creativity, and community impact.
Following the online voting and judging period, the top four projects will move on to compete for the title at the 2018 MML Convention in Grand Rapids in September.
About Dig In Midland
Dig In Midland is a $7.2 million redevelopment project to increase outdoor dining, shopping, and community gathering options in Downtown Midland. Completed in November 2017, Dig In Midland was funded with generous support from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, the Carl A. Gerstacker Foundation, and the Charles J. Strosacker Foundation with an additional $50,000 in upgraded amenities provided through a community-wide crowdfunding initiative.
