July 11, 2018 – Waldo Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Wheeler Street and E. Ashman Street on Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13 while crews install a water main crossing and catch basin leads as part of the Waldo Avenue street reconstruction project.
Southbound through traffic on Waldo will be detoured using E. Wheeler Street, Rockwell Drive, and E. Ashman Street. Northbound through traffic will continue to use the posted detour, while Waldo will be open to northbound local traffic from E. Ashman to Fuller Drive. Access to Candlestone and Brookdale assisted living facilities will remain open from Wheeler Street during the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes or avoid the area if possible to avoid traffic delays.
