[ARCHIVED] Polling Locations in Construction Zones Will Be Accessible

August 6, 2018 – City of Midland electors in Ward 4 should be aware of construction zones near their polling locations in advance of the August 7 Primary Election.

All polling locations will be accessible to voters; however, contractors will be working in these construction areas. Construction activities will be limited as much as possible to avoid disruption.

  • Jefferson Middle School (Ward 4, Precincts 1, 4 & 5) – Chapel Lane is under construction between Jefferson Avenue and Nakoma Drive. Chapel Lane will be open to traffic accessing the school; however, motorists can also access the school via Dilloway Drive.
  • Adams Elementary School (Ward 4, Precincts 2 & 3) - Adams Drive is under construction from Washington Street to the end of the cul-de-sac, and Woodview Pass is under construction from Adams to Scenic Drive. Both roads will be passable; however, accessing the school from the west via Adams Drive is recommended.

For questions or further information on voting in the City of Midland, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at 989-837-3310. For the latest updates on construction activities in the City, please contact the Engineering Department at 989-837-3348 or visit http://bit.ly/midlandroads.
