[ARCHIVED] Ellsworth Reconstruction Beginning Mid-August

August 1, 2014 – Reconstruction of Ellsworth Street from George to Ashman streets will begin in mid-August. The project will include a new street, curb and gutter, new sidewalks, and decorative landscaping.

The reconstruction will include closing Ellsworth to through traffic with directed detours. Project completion is slated for October.

The City of Midland Engineering Department will hold an open house on Wednesday, August 6 from 4-6 p.m. in Midland City Hall Council Chambers to detail the project and hear from citizens who may have questions or concerns regarding the project.

With the 2014 construction season now underway, motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City’s website at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov. Motorists may also check the construction updates page on the City’s website for construction details.
