
August 9, 2018 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce the hiring of Nicole Wilson as the Community Development Planner.
Nicole comes to the City from the Michigan Baseball Foundation’s Momentum Midland Initiative, where she served as Program Manager overseeing projects including Bike Midland and the Larkin Beer Garden Previously, she worked for the Midland Area Community Foundation, where she coordinated a variety of programs including the Youth Action Council, Dow Community-Gives, and RiverDays. Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Development from Western Michigan University and a certificate in Real Estate Development and Reuse from Georgia Tech. She is also a proud graduate of Midland High School.
“Nicole’s extensive experience, knowledge, and passion for the Midland community make her the perfect addition to our team,” said City Director of Planning and Community Development Grant Murschel. “She is like-minded in our pursuit to make Midland the most livable community in the state. We are very much looking forward to her contributions to the many planning and community development projects going on in the city.”
