August 17, 2018 – Midland residents: it’s time to tell us what you want!
The City of Midland has partnered with Michigan-based benchmarking organization Cobalt Community Research to complete an in-depth Budget Planning Study that will explore residents’ needs and wants for the future of the City’s public safety, public services, infrastructure, community initiatives, and more.
Beginning the week of August 20, a randomly-selected group of residents throughout the community will receive a brief questionnaire via postal mail. Recipients are encouraged to follow the instructions provided in the letter to complete the questionnaire. The questionnaire should take fewer than 10 minutes and may be completed via an on-line option or returned via mail. Residents who do not receive a mailed questionnaire will have the opportunity to provide their feedback via an online version of the questionnaire that will be announced in the coming weeks.
For the second phase of the study, residents will be invited to attend public follow-up feedback sessions on Tuesday, October 16 or Wednesday, October 24 to discuss the initial research findings and explore ideas for future budget cycles. Both meetings will be held from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 2727 Rodd Street.
