[ARCHIVED] Midland City Councilwoman Brown Wilhelm Elected to Michigan Municipal League Board of Directors

October 10, 2018 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce that Midland City Councilwoman Diane Brown Wilhelm has been elected to the Michigan Municipal League Board of Directors.

Brown Wilhelm was elected to the three-year term during the League’s 2018 Convention in Grand Rapids in late September. A formal announcement and recognition was held at the Midland City Council meeting on Monday, October 8.

“Councilwoman Brown Wilhelm has been a dedicated public servant to the Midland community for many years,” said Midland Mayor Maureen Donker. “Her tireless commitment to making our city and state a thriving place to live and work is greatly appreciated, and I’m confident she will continue to make a positive impact on behalf of Midland in this new role.”

Brown Wilhelm has served as the Ward 4 City Council representative since 2011. Prior to serving on City Council, she was appointed to the City of Midland Planning Commission from 2006 – 2011. She is also involved in several community organizations, including Shelterhouse Board of Directors, Midland Community Family Ministries, and the League of Women Voters, and also serves as the Global Employee Engagement Lead & Project People Advocate at her employer, Accenture. She has represented the City of Midland as a delegate to the Michigan Municipal League since 2014.
