November 2, 2018 – Beginning Monday, November 5, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin removing and rebuilding the intersection of Main Street with Jerome Street/M-20 as a part of the Karl B. Robertson (M-20) Bridge reconstruction project.
For approximately 14 days, MDOT will close the northern side of the intersection of Main Street and Jerome Street/M-20 to through traffic. Eastbound through traffic should utilize a detour route using Auburn Street, Buttles Street, and Ashman Street. Westbound through traffic should utilize a detour route using Rodd Street, Indian Street, Jerome, Larkin Street, and Ripley Street. Motorists heading north on Main Street from downtown Midland will be able to turn right or left onto M-20.
Work on the northern side of the intersection is expected to be completed by November 18. Reconstruction of the southbound side of the intersection is planned for Summer 2019.
