November 12 2018 – This fall, leave the textbooks behind and experience history as the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library presents our fall lecture series “Meet the Presidents.” Through a mixture of first-person portrayals and lectures, we will be exploring the lives and legacies of four of our most notable presidents. Learn how each faced the leadership challenges of their time in what is arguably the hardest job in the world.
On Thursday, November 15, Fred Priebe, a Lincoln impersonator from Belleville, will provide a historically accurate and entertaining first-person presentation highlighting President Abraham Lincoln’s evolving beliefs and leadership qualities in “The Road to the Civil War.”
Mr. Priebe has been role-playing as President Lincoln since 1996 and started at Greenfield Village in Dearborn.
This presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the Library Auditorium.
