[ARCHIVED] Shining Stars Talent Show at the MCTV Network

March 15, 2019 – Do you have a talent you want to share with the community? The Friends of MCTV are hosting the 10th annual Shining Stars Talent Show! Entrants will be given up to 30 minutes to set up and deliver a 3-5 minute performance. Performers can have any variety of skills: singing, dancing, playing an instrument, creating a hand-drawn masterpiece, juggling – it’s up to you!

Performances will be pre-recorded in MCTV’s studio from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. The completed program will be televised on MCTV Cable Channel 191, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, and viewable online through the MCTV Network Community Voices YouTube channel.

The viewing public will vote for their favorite Midland Shining Star by email or via Facebook. The entrant with the most votes will receive fame and glory with an MCTV-189 message board post, Facebook mention, and the posting of his/her winning performance on YouTube. Participants will also have an opportunity to perform for a live audience at MCTV's Honors Night in November.

If you have a talent you would like to share, call MCTV at 989-837-3474 to schedule a time for your performance by Wednesday, April 24. Time slots are limited, so book a spot now!

The Shining Stars Talent Show is open to Midland County residents with proof of ID. All ages are welcome, though parental/guardian consent will be required for those under 18. Performances will need to be approved when scheduling a time slot.
