[ARCHIVED] Currie Municipal Golf Course Named Facility of the Year by Billy Casper Golf

March 22, 2019 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce that Currie Municipal Golf Course has been named the 2018 Central Region Facility of the Year by Billy Casper Golf (BCG).

The award, presented during BCG’s annual meeting last week in Orlando, Florida, is given to the course in each region with the best all-around service, operations, agronomic conditions, and financial performance that excels at treating each guest to a fun and enjoyable experience and serves as a ‘model facility’ for BCG. Currie bested 17 other BCG Central Region courses to take top honors in this category.

“I’m honored and very appreciative of this recognition,” said Currie General Manager and Director of Operations Paul Milholland. “Receiving this award affirms that our course is headed in the right direction and reflects the commitment and dedication of our staff to making Currie Golf Course a fun and enjoyable destination for all guests.”

In addition to Facility of the Year, Currie and its staff were nominated for several other awards in its region, including Salesperson of the Year (Paul Milholland), Most Improved Golf Course of the Year, General Manager of the Year (Paul Milholland), the BCG Top Performer Award, and the F&B Operation of the Year Award.

Currie Municipal Golf Course is owned by the City of Midland and managed by Billy Casper Golf. For more information or to schedule a tee time, visit www.curriegolf.com.
