The white Midland water tower in an aerial view

April 29, 2019 – Beginning Wednesday, May 1, the City of Midland Water Division will perform annual inspections, maintenance, and interior cleaning on the Plymouth elevated water storage tank. The project should be complete by Monday, May 6, weather permitting.

The process will include draining the Plymouth tank, rinsing the interior to remove any sediment, inspecting the tank interior and exterior, disinfecting, refilling the tank, and conducting bacterial sampling. The water tower will be placed back into service after laboratory approval indicating the water has passed the bacteriological sampling process.

Residents’ water pressure should not be impacted during these maintenance activities.
