[ARCHIVED] DDA to Host Adult Recess Downtown This Summer

May 17, 2019 – If you’ve longed for the days when your life included recess, then you’re in luck: Adult Recess is coming to Downtown Midland!

The City of Midland and the Downtown Development Authority have teamed up to offer “Adult Recess”, a free lunchtime activity for residents to unwind, re-energize, and express themselves through play. Participants can challenge a friend to a game of Giant Jenga or cornhole, practice their putt-putt skills, hula hoop, blow bubbles, and more!

Adult Recess begins on Wednesday, May 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corners of Main and McDonald streets and will continue every Wednesday through July 31. Recess locations will alternate between the Main/McDonald and Main/Ashman intersections each week.

“Extra recess” may be announced at any time on the Downtown Midland and City of Midland social media channels, so be sure to check them often for updates.
