How well are we meeting your needs? What do you think your city government’s fiscal priorities should be? Midland City Council wants to know!
The City of Midland is coordinating a three-week survey and hosting subsequent focus groups to gather citizen feedback on what matters most to you. The short survey asks for input on our community in general and City of Midland services in particular.
Information gleaned from the surveys will form the basis of discussion during focus groups planned for late October-mid November. A cross section of survey participants from each of Midland’s five wards will be invited to attend a focus group in their ward. This will allow neighbors to come together to identify what City services are working, and what might need to be looked at. The council member from each ward will attend their ward’s focus group to hear what citizens have to say and help answer questions.
After these meetings, there will be a Coffee with Council session, during which the whole community can meet and share additional thoughts with each other and Council members.
Findings from this program will be shared in January during City Council’s annual goal setting sessions, and will help Council make decisions on services and budget issues moving forward.
The survey can be accessed online at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/survey. The deadline to fill out the quick, easy-to-complete survey is Friday, October 10.
