Beginning Monday, September 22, the City of Midland Water Division will perform annual inspections, maintenance, and interior cleaning on the Plymouth elevated water storage tank. The project should be complete by Monday, September 29, weather permitting.
The process will include draining the Plymouth tank, rinsing the interior to remove any sediment, inspecting the tank interior, chlorination, refilling the tank, and then conducting bacterial sampling. The tank will be put back into service after laboratory approval indicating the water has passed the sampling process.
Water pressure should not be impacted during these maintenance activities.
