August 19, 2019 – Crews from Treeworks, Inc. will be working in Barstow Woods Park to remove over 300 dead and hazard trees beginning today, August 19.
At this time, the park will remain open for use; however, due to the nature of this activity, residents are cautioned that work in the park may be loud and produce a significant amount of debris. The parking lot located off of Saginaw Road may be closed to facilitate work if needed.
Wood chips from the removed trees will be made available at the Central Park parking lot for residents’ personal use at no cost. Plans to replant new trees in Barstow Woods Park will be announced at a later date.
