[ARCHIVED] Annual Fall Festival Returns to Downtown Midland Sept. 28

September 20, 2019 – Festifall, Downtown Midland’s annual celebration of all things autumn, returns to Main Street on Saturday, September 28 for the fourth consecutive year. The event features a variety of free, family-friendly activities, an outdoor movie event, live music, an adults-only taproom, and more.

Activities for guests of all ages will be available from 4 – 7 p.m., including:

  • Build-A-Scarecrow (while supplies last)
  • Cornhole
  • Dance party with DJ Dill Pickle
  • Face painting
  • Timberwolf football throw
  • Frisbee bowling
  • Giant Jenga
  • Henna tattoos
  • Matchbox races
  • Magician
  • Putt putt golf challenge
  • Photo booth
  • Pumpkin bucket decorating (while supplies last)
  • Slime Making (while supplies last)
  • S.T.E.M. activities with Delta College

Additional information, including a full list of events and times, can be viewed by visiting In the event of rain, activities will be relocated to the Larkin Parking Garage.

A special “Movies on Main” Outdoor Movies double feature will show How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World at 7:30 p.m. and A Quiet Place at 9:30 p.m. Movies will be shown in the parking lot of Ace Hardware, 419 E. Main Street.

Woody’s Taproom, hosted by Northwood University, will be open to the public at the corner of Main and McDonald Streets from 7:30 – 11:30 p.m. featuring live entertainment from The Rock Show. There will be a $10 cover charge at the door and guests must be 21 or older to enter.

Visitors are reminded that Main Street is closed to through traffic from Cronkright Street to the Poseyville Road Bridge and Cronkright is closed from Larkin Street to Main due to construction. Parking spaces located in front of Riverside Place Apartments are temporarily restricted for resident use only. Motorists should access East End parking lots by using the Ellsworth Street entrance.

Festifall is made possible through the generous support of many local businesses and organizations, including Northwood University, Ace Hardware, Central Michigan University, CDK Global, Fisher Contracting, Midland Brewing Company, CPI Fluid Engineering, Labadie Auto, Nottingham Place, and SK Saran.
