October 3, 2014 – There’s one more week to fill out a survey asking how well you think the City of Midland is meeting your needs, and what you think your city government’s fiscal priorities should be. The deadline to take the online survey is Friday, October 10.
The short, easy-to-complete survey asks for your input on the Midland community in general and City of Midland services in particular. Information gleaned from the surveys will form the basis of discussion during focus groups planned for late October to mid November. A cross section of survey participants from each of Midland’s five wards will be invited to attend a focus group in their ward. This will allow neighbors to come together to identify what City services are working, and what might need to be looked at. The Midland City Council member from each ward will attend their ward’s focus group to hear what citizens have to say and help answer questions.
After these meetings, there will be a Coffee with Council session during which the whole community can meet and share additional thoughts with each other and Council members.
Findings from this initiative will be shared in January during City Council’s annual goal setting sessions, and will help Council make decisions on services and budget issues moving forward.
