[ARCHIVED] Open Positions Available on City Housing Commission

November 1, 2019 – Looking to make a difference in the Midland community? The City of Midland invites interested residents to apply for open positions on the City’s Housing Commission. The Commission has two (2) citizen-at-large positions available with terms expiring June 30, 2024.

The Housing Commission advises City staff and the City Manager regarding areas of the city where it is necessary to provide proper sanitary housing facilities for families of low income and for the elimination of housing conditions that are detrimental to the public peace, health, safety, morals or welfare.

Applicants must be City of Midland residents. No previous experience or professional experience is required to serve; however, applicants must be able to attend the scheduled meetings. Any applicants who have previously applied for a board or commission vacancy with the City are asked to submit a new application.

To complete an application, visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/boardscommissions and select the Housing Commission link to find the desired application. Paper applications are available from the City Manager’s Office at City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth St. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, November 15.

For questions or more information, please contact the City Manager’s Office at 989-837-3301.
