November 8, 2019 – Many City of Midland offices and services will be closed or operating under alternate hours on November 28 and 29 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Refuse and recyclables will not be collected on Thursday, November 28 or Friday, November 29. Residents with Thursday, November 28 refuse and Thursday Week 4 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Wednesday, November 27. Friday, November 29 refuse and Friday Week 4 recycling collections will take place on Monday, December 2. Place refuse and recycling at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Landfill will be open Friday, November 29 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, November 30 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. November 30 will be the last Saturday morning landfill hours until March 2020.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 28, and Friday, November 29. The Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27. Regular hours will be maintained for the rest of the weekend.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation System (DART) will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 29. DART will maintain normal Saturday and Sunday hours.
Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 29, but will operate as normal on Saturday and Sunday.
