[ARCHIVED] Sturgeon Ave. to Close at Wackerly St. for Water Main Work

December 6, 2019 – Sturgeon Avenue will be closed at the intersection with W. Wackerly Street on Tuesday, December 10 for water main maintenance.

Northbound traffic on Sturgeon will be detoured west on N. Saginaw Road to Perrine Road, north to W. Wackerly Street, then east back to Sturgeon. Southbound traffic will be detoured west on W. Wackerly to Perrine, south to N. Saginaw Road, then east back to Sturgeon.

Work will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and conclude by the end of the day.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes around the closure if possible.

Residents are reminded that due to the nature of construction activities, the information provided above may change at any time. Should an issue arise that would change this schedule, the City will provide updates on its website at and via its Facebook and Twitter channels at @CityofMidlandMI.
