[ARCHIVED] Plymouth Park Fun Zone Closed Until April 6

March 18, 2020 – Out of an abundance of caution amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, City of Midland Parks and Recreation has closed the Plymouth Park Fun Zone to the public effective immediately through Monday, April 6.

The closure comes in response to public health directives urging organizations to curb the potential spread of COVID-19 by closing or limiting public access to areas that attract large congregations of people. Recent large crowds at the Fun Zone prompted City officials to close the playground to public access.

Residents are encouraged to visit one of the City’s other 72 parks and recreation areas while continuing to practice social distancing guidelines as outlined by the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services. More information can be found online at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/recreation. See below for a map of City-maintained park locations.

The City will continue to monitor public health information regarding COVID-19 and will reassess and alter its response as needed.
