[ARCHIVED] Instructions for Donating, Volunteering for Flood Relief

May 23, 2020 - Midland County emergency management officials are astonished by and grateful for the outpouring of support, donations, and volunteer requests from across the nation following recent flooding events.

Thousands of donations have already been received and the community still has many needs; however, to ensure that efforts are not duplicated and residents receive the items they need most, officials stress that all donations must be registered through official channels before they arrive on-site. Individuals and organizations with donations are urged not to bring or send items to the community without first going through these donation channels.

The United Way of Midland County will coordinate all donations provided for flood relief in Midland County.  All donations should be registered via a brief online form at www.reliefmidland.org. Anyone who completes the form will be contacted by the United Way of Midland County with instructions for drop-off or delivery of donations.

By following this process, emergency management officials can ensure that all donations are provided directly to the areas and individuals who need them most.
