[ARCHIVED] Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Some Residents in Water District #1

May 23, 2020 - The boil water advisory issued for some residents in Hope and Edenville townships serviced by Water District #1 of Midland County has been lifted. Two areas remain under a boil water advisory or without water service at this time.

Residents on E. Saiko Road between Middle Road and N. Stark Road should continue to boil water before use until further notice.

Water District #1 customers in Edenville Township on W. Curtis Road west of the Tittabawassee River remain without water service at this time. Crews are working to restore temporary service and hope to have service restored to residences within the coming days.

The boil water advisory is lifted for all other residents in Water District #1 who were previously impacted. Residents of the City of Midland do not have a boil advisory in place and may continue with regular water use.

Midland County residents who utilize groundwater wells as their water source should test their water before use if the well was submerged by flood waters. Free water test kits (with instructions) can be picked up at the following locations:

  • Midland Township Fire Dept, 973 S. Poseyville, Midland
  • Swanton Memorial Hall, 6422 Water Rd (in the alcove), Edenville
  • Sanford Senior Center, 3243 N. West River Road, Sanford
  • Midland County Services Building, 220 W. Ellsworth (@ entrance door), Midland
