May 27, 2020 – City of Midland crews will provide regular Friday refuse and yard waste collection for all accessible streets within the Friday collection area. All customers with Friday Week 4 recycling collection will be collected as scheduled.
Due to the presence of heavy equipment and the high volume of vehicle traffic and debris in flood-damaged areas, customers with Friday refuse collection who live on streets where significant amounts of flood debris remain at the curb may not receive regular refuse and yard waste collection on Friday, May 29. These residents will see collection resume once debris collection has completed in their area.
Regular heavy item and brush collection has been suspended citywide until further notice to allow crews to focus on curbside debris collection in flood-damaged areas. Please do not set non-flood related items at the curb for heavy item and brush collection until the regular collection schedule has resumed.
The Midland Sanitary Landfill is open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily through Sunday, May 31 for residents who wish to dispose of trash, yard waste, or flood debris.
