[ARCHIVED] Update on Notice of Sanitary Sewer Overflow

The Tittabawassee Ribver floods the Tridge area in downtown Midland

June 12, 2020  The City of Midland Wastewater Plant has notified the public that the ongoing sanitary sewer overflow related to the May 19, 2020 flooding event has ended. The overflow resulted in the discharge of approximately 200 million gallons of dilute sewage.

In accordance with state law, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (ELGE) Quality and the Midland County Health Department have been notified throughout this event.
