November 18, 2014 – On Monday, November 24, the City of Midland Water Division will be working in conjunction with their restoration contractor to finish up outstanding road repairs from this past construction season.
These repairs will result in road closures and traffic shifts in several locations throughout the city. Traffic control will be set up on Friday, November 21, to facilitate pavement removal. On Monday, November 24, the pavement will be replaced with roads opening up later that evening.
W. Main Street will be closed between Orchard and University drives. This detour will be north on Orchard, west on W. Sugnet Road.
Dartmouth Drive will be closed at the intersection of Airfield Lane. This detour will be east on Wyllys Street, south on Washington, and west on Cambridge streets.
Oakridge Dr. will be closed between Partridge Ln. and Chicory Court. This detour will be north on Partridge, west on Wackerly St., and south on Dublin Avenue.
Smith Road will be closed at the intersection of Isabella Rd. This detour will be west on Isabella, north on Wildes St., and east on Riggie St.
Eastbound St. Andrews Rd. between Eastman Ave. and Helen St. will have traffic shifts; one lane will remain open in each direction.
Southbound Jefferson Ave. between Nakoma Dr. and Wheeler St. will have traffic shifts; one lane will remain open in each direction.
Northbound Jefferson Ave. between Bradley Ct. and Haley St. will have traffic shifted; one lane will remain open in each direction.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to avoid affected areas if possible.
