July 24, 2020 – The intersection of Cambridge Street and Washington Street will close temporarily on Monday, July 27 as work continues on the street reconstruction and water main replacement project on Cambridge.
The intersection will be closed for approximately one (1) day and is expected to reopen by Tuesday, July 28. During the closure, northbound Washington traffic will be detoured via Eastlawn, S. Saginaw Road, Dartmouth, and E. Ashman Street. Southbound Washington traffic will be detoured via E. Ashman Street, Swede Avenue, and Eastlawn. Washington Woods senior living community and other businesses within the project area may be accessed from Dartmouth Drive during the closure.
Motorists traveling through or to a destination within the construction zone should drive with caution while work is underway. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of August.
