[ARCHIVED] City Offices Close for Thanksgiving Holiday

All City of Midland offices will be closed on November 27 and 28 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Refuse and recyclables will not be collected on Thursday, November 27 or Friday, November 28. Residents with Thursday, November 27 refuse and Week 4 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Wednesday, November 26. Friday, November 28 refuse and Week 4 recycling collections will be made on Monday, December 1. Place refuse and recycling at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.

The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The landfill will be open Friday, November 28 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Saturday, November 29, from 8:30 a.m. - Noon. November 29 will be the last Saturday morning landfill hours until March 2015.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The library will close early, at 5 p.m., both Wednesday, November 26 and Friday, November 28. The library will maintain regular hours for the rest of the weekend.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation System (DART) will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 28. DART will maintain normal Saturday hours.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 28, but will operate as normal on Saturday and Sunday.
