August 14, 2020 – After careful consideration, the Midland Downtown Business Association (MDBA) and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) have cancelled this year’s Festifall and Hot Cocoa Crawl events in response to public health and economic concerns amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“To ensure the health and safety of our volunteers, guests, vendors, and staff, the MDBA and DDA felt it best to forgo these events in 2020,” said City of Midland Community Affairs Director Selina Tisdale. “We look forward to bringing Festifall and the Hot Cocoa Crawl back to Downtown Midland in 2021 and encourage our community to continue supporting the Downtown district and its many local businesses in every way possible.”
At this time, the following DDA and MDBA events planned for 2020 are anticipated to occur as scheduled: Buy Nearby Weekend, Holiday Open House, Shop Small Saturday, and Holly Jolly Days. Downtown visitors can also enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights through the end of September beginning at 7 p.m. at the corner of Main and McDonald streets.
