[ARCHIVED] MCTV Resumes Studio Recordings, Offers Curbside Service

August 14, 2020 – Midland Community Television (MCTV) is pleased to announce that many services will resume for community media producers beginning Monday, August 17.

Current MCTV media creators can reserve video production equipment beginning August 17 by calling MCTV at 837-3474 to set a curbside pick-up appointment. Time slots for curbside pickup will be available Tuesday – Thursday, between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM in 30 minute intervals. Equipment exchanges will happen at the specially marked parking spots near the Library’s west-end portico, behind the Auditorium.

Community members interested in producing studio-style programs for television, online video, and podcast may also reserve time in MCTV’s temporary production studio in the Library’s Auditorium. Time slots for studio recordings will be Tuesday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Please call MCTV staff for additional details or to make a reservation.

Access users interested in creating programs using MCTV’s video conferencing capabilities with the Zoom platform should contact staff for more information.

In accordance with the City of Midland’s COVID-19 prevention measures, all visitors will be required to wear a mask or facial covering to enter the building and in all areas of the building when social distancing is not possible. Wellness and temperature checks will be conducted for all visitors upon entering the building. Editing suites, common areas, and video equipment will be cleaned and sanitized after each use. Access users are asked not to enter if they are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Midland Community Television is located in the lower level of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library at 1710 W. St. Andrews Rd. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Evening and Saturday hours are available by request. MCTV is a service of the City of Midland.
