[ARCHIVED] Plymouth Pool to be Doggone Busy During Dog Swim

August 21, 2020 – Plymouth Pool is going to the dogs (socially distanced of course)!

Midland Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the 10th annual Pooches at the Pool Dog Swim on Saturday, September 12. During the event, owners (one owner per pup this year) will have the opportunity to fetch their Fido and take a swim at Plymouth Pool.

Plymouth Pool features a zero-depth entry and a deep well – perfect for any pooch. Each dog will get 30 minutes in the pool with swim times varying from 10:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Cost is $8.00 per dog.

Owners will be responsible for providing written proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter verification on the day of the event (tags do not suffice). Thanks goes to Midland Animal Clinic for providing this service.

New for 2020, participants are asked to wear masks while registering their pup for this event. In addition, only one human per pup will be allowed on deck. Spectators are free to watch from outside the deck.

All dogs on deck!  Preregistration and prepayment for this event is recommended.  Registration will end when all spots are full and will only be taken on the day of the event if space is available. Register for this event online (www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/recreation) or at the Parks and Recreation Office, 4811 N. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI 48640.

It’s a dog eat dog world, so register early!  This event will fill up quickly.
