[ARCHIVED] RedZone Robotics Finalizing Sewer Video Inspections

September 18, 2020 – Crews from wastewater asset management contractor RedZone Robotics have resumed the final stages of visually inspecting City sewer lines as part of the improvement efforts recommended by the City’s 2018 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Study. Inspection work was temporarily suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Inspection crews will continue work in areas around the city until video inspection in all necessary areas of the sewer system have been video mapped.

Crews will wear high visibility vests and will use orange cones to designate areas around the manholes being inspected. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in areas where crews are working.

For more information on the City’s ongoing sewer system improvements, please contact the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 989-837-3500 or visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/floodresponse.
