September 22, 2020 – The City of Midland Parks & Recreation Commission and Planning Commission are asking residents to get involved in the future of the City’s parks and recreational offerings by sharing their feedback through a new survey launched on the City’s online public engagement platform, E-CityHall.
The commissions have begun a joint process to update the City’s Five Year Community Recreation Plan, which guides the addition of new recreational park facilities and parkland acquisitions within the City. The survey asks respondents to share feedback on the City’s current parks, amenities, and recreational programs as well as provide suggestions for additional amenities they would like to see offered in the future. The survey should take about 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
Feedback from the survey will be used by the City Parks & Recreation Commission and Planning Commission, City staff, and the Midland City Council to review the current state of the City’s parks and recreational programs, make adjustments to current offerings, and plan for future development. In addition, the results will also be included in the future City Modern Master Planning process.
The survey can be accessed via the City’s website at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/ecityhall. Residents without Internet access or the ability to complete the online survey may pick up a printed copy of at Midland City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth Street, or the Municipal Service Center, 4811 N. Saginaw Road, or contact Midland Parks and Recreation at 989-837-6930 to request a copy be mailed to them.
